Student MUST be in their final year (unless in exceptional circumstances). Improvement of personal performance in their particular field of sport. Commitment to sport at the Students' Union Club level. High level of commitment to their club/team, running of activities, or club development. Maintaining a professional attitude and have been an asset to UWE. Must have represented your team consistenting (minimum of two years) in BUCS or equivalent competition.
Students MUST be in their final year (unless in exceptional circumstances). Commitment to sport at UWE club level. Consistently high level of performance in their particular field of sport. Evidence of attending regularly organised club activity. Maintaining a professional attitude and have been an asset to UWE. Participated in/embedded fundraising, volunteering or sustainability (Greener Futures Award) within the club. Must have represented your 1st team consistently (minimum of 2 years).
Students MUST be in their final year of (unless in exceptional circumstances). Selected for National Representative Squad: England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland. Outstanding level of performance within their particular field of sport. Maintaining a professional attitude and have been an asset to UWE. Represented UWE in BUCS or equivalent for a minimum of 2 years.
Students MUST be in their final year (unless in exceptional circumstances). Selected for an international representative squad (e.g. Great Britain, England, Wales or equivalent). Extremely high level of performance within their particular field of sport. Maintaining a professional attitude and have been an asset to UWE. Represented UWE in BUCS or equivalent for a minimum of 2 years.
Demonstrated good leadership and support to their team. Good organisational skills for training and match days/competitions. A positive role model and an asset to UWE. Efficient game day/competition management. Good communication with SU staff, CFS staff and relevant external stakeholders.
Regular attendance at Sports events and meetings, e.g. Sports Conference. As an indivudal, has made a high contribution to their clubs activity, reputation and achievements. Encouraged the participation of members and non-members to engage in events and activities. Exceptional organisation. Continuous commitment to enhance student experience and engagement within the club.
Only one member from each sports club shall be shortlisted (unless in exceptional circumstances). This award entitles the winner to a two year honorary membership of their club. Nominees must be in their final year of study (except in exceptional circumstances). Outstanding achievement, commitment and dedication to their field of sport and sports club. Consistent, outstanding performance whilst competing for UWE. Enhancement and development of the reputation of their chosen field of sport/club within UWE or externally. Adherence to Sports committee rules and regulations and the development of sport/club procedures and training. Maintainig a professional attitude and have been an asset to UWE. Involvement/commitment beyond what would normally be expected of a volunteer in terms of going above and beyond.
Has consistently dedicated their time and effort in a selfless manner to help others succeed in their goals, overcome challenges and undertake tasks by making valuable contributions that have made a positive impact. Has shown involvement/commitment beyond what would normally be expected of a volunteer both within the club, UWE or externally. Enhancement and development of the reputation of their club within UWE or externally within their chosen sport. Encouraged the participation of members and non-members to engage in volunteering activities.
An athlete who is performing to a high standard at National/International level. The athlete should have also made a good contribtuion to UWE sport. Enhancement and development of the reputation of their chosen field of sport, club, within UWE or externally.
An indvidual who has engaged with UWE sport and the Students' Union in their first year within their sports club. Usually byt not exclusively in their first year of study. The individual should have made a positive impact on their club whilst demonstrating significant improvement in their sporting performance.
This coach should have had a significant impact on their team and been a positive role model for their club. The coach should have worked collaboratively with UWE Sport and The Students' Union at UWE staff to achieve a common goal for the students.
Someone who has made a positive and lasting impact on their club and Team UWE. Maintaining a professional attitude and have been an asset to UWE. To have maintained a professional attitude, and worked collaboratively with Students' Union and UWE Bristol Sport staff. Nominees should usually be in their final year of study.
Awarded to both an "indivudal" sports club and "team" sports club. Excellent organisation of it's activities. Consistent support and involvement of all members. A well democratically run club. A well structured schedule of training and activties. Participation in community volunteering and wider Students' Union campaign/initatives/events. Maintaining a professional attitude and have been an asset to UWE. Effective organisation and communication with The Students' Union at UWE and club membership. Adherence to Students' Union policies and proecdures.
High level of communication with the Students' Union. Good organisation. High level of teamwork and cohesion within the committee. Good working relationship and communication with their membership. To have all been a part of a great running or the club. To have all acted professionally towards eachoterh, and the sports and activities support staff. To have gone above and beyond with organisation, including but not limited to; running a large number of trips, attending a number of competitions, hosted events on behalf of UWE/The Students' Union.
Must demonstrate a passion and commitment to their sport and team engagement. Encourages and supports innovative and collaborative work within the club that enhances the student expierience. The team displays obvious enthusiasm - in supporting teams, appearances, interactions with teams/officials etc. at competition and match days. Spirit is part of the team and is apparent in all they do, including at training, University events, with other teams and external parties. To have all acted professionally towards each other and the sports and activties support staff. High level of team work and cohesion within the team. The team demonstrates spirit as a unified team.
With such a diverse student community, The Students' Union at UWE is committed to creating an inclusive environment through its contribution to the equality, diversity and inclusivity agenda. This award recognises a sports club that has demonstrated a passion for equality through their activities and engagement with the student community. This sports club will have championed EDI and have proven examples for creating inclusive events or activites that includes the wider student body, especially groups that may not typically engage.
High level of teamwork and cohesion within the team. To have performed well within their league or competitions for this academic year. Maintaining a professional attitude and have been an asset to UWE. Effective organisation and communication with the Students' Union at UWE and members of their team.
A team that has demonstated considerable improvement from previous seasons. Performing well in competitions/fixtures. Showing a high level of commitment to training. Demonstrate continued projection in their success.
Consistent and high-quality level of social media presence, with engaging marketing material for their membership. Positive interactions with other clubs and local community on social media. Has a good following. All key information is relevant, up to date and easily accesible to members and perspective students. High level of professionalism.
This award is given to the club, that has raised the most money fundraising. This club has held events and activities raising money for charity or for their club.
This award is given to the club that has won the most points in the Greener Futures initiative. The winner of this award, has engaged their members in sustainability challenges, and collaborated with the Green Team.
