Online Elections & Voting

• All Club and Society voting for new Committee Members will take place online.
• Nominations for running for Committee Positions will open on 27 January for all clubs and societies. 
• Those wishing to nominate themselves can do so via your club or society web page.
• Nominations will become visible when voting opens. If you are unsure if a nomination has been submitted correctly, please contact us.
• There will be two options for your club or society to choose from to hold your online voting (see below).
• Club and society members will be able to nominate themselves and vote in your election by going to your club or society page.
• In order for the election to be valid, 25% + 1 of your members must vote. 
• Please fill in the form to request which election window which suits you best. Your options are: 

Option 1)

• Nominations will open on Monday 27 January and close at 23:59 6 Feb 2020
• Voting will then open Monday 10 at 12:00 and close on Sunday 16 23:59 

Option 2)

• Nominations will open on Monday 27 January and close at 23:59 Feb 13 2020
• Voting will then open Monday 17 Feb 12:00 and close on Sunday 23 Feb 23:59

Online elections will remain open for a number of days after your AGM allowing your members to vote without having to be in the same place at the same time, and to ensure that all clubs and societies are able to get 25%+1 of your members to vote.

If your club or society has not completed your AGM and election by the above deadlines, we will assume that you will not be active for the 2020 - 2021 academic year.

Just as with an 'in-person' AGM, you will need 25%+1 of your membership to vote in order for the election to count.

Once the election has closed, we will let you know who has been successfully voted in. If you don't hear from us or want to check anything, again just email suopportunities@uwe.ac.uk.
