UWE Boat Club is an ever-expanding club with up to 100 new members each year. We encourage all levels of athletes, from absolute beginners to international senior oarsmen to join our club!!
UWE Boat Club caters for all levels of athletes, from absolute beginners to senior oarsmen. The senior squad is ever expanding, last year we has a lightweight double achieve Champ A final at BUCS regatta. Not only does the club focus on racing but we also have a focus on recreational rowing and combined with frequent socials, offers a close community. This upcoming season the club is aiming to qualify women's and men's boats for Henley Royal Regatta and aiming to bring home medals from BUCS Regatta among other races like Women's Head of the River Race, Head of the River Race and local, smaller races to support surrounding clubs.
Training takes place on land and on water. Land training takes place in the Centre for Sport (CFS) on Frenchay Campus. Feel free to pop in when we are training to have a chat about joining. Water training takes place 30 minutes from Frenchay at Saul Junction Marina on the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal where we organise transport to and from.

Memberships MUST be paid by 31st October at the latest. £23 UWE Student Union fee will be added on top as insurance and you will receive a Team UWE Boat T-Shirt.
A British Rowing Membership is also required priced at £39 a year for students.
There are also associated costs throughout the year: Races £15-£20 for each race, Easter Camp £175-£275, Christmas & Easter Dinner apprx £50
