We are UWE Comets Cheerleading; one of the largest sports teams at UWE! We welcome all genders and abilities!
We are one of the largest clubs at UWE and are home to two different teams, a Competition team and a Performance team. Our competition teams represent the university at national competitions, competing against other unis as well as all-star teams. Our competition teams competed in 3 national competitions last season, Level 3 placing 1st twice and 2nd, and our Level 1 team placing 2nd, 3rd, and 5th.
Our Performance team attend and support a variety of UWE sports fixtures throughout the year, to name a few, American Football, Basketball, Women's Rugby, and Volleyball. We usually work towards performing at Varsity to end our season with a stunning performance in front of the UWE community! We also perform at various events around Bristol outside of UWE, such as Bristol Bears and Flyers and Student Fight Nights!
We cannot wait for this year to be just as incredible as our recent years, and to show off the skills, drive and passion we have for cheer! We can't wait to see your talent!
ANYONE. We welcome new members of any age, gender, and ability which we have found makes us one of the most diverse and successful teams at UWE. You don’t need any experience! Our coaches will be there to help you all the way from our Give it a Go sessions up until moments before competing or performing on a pitch. Our comp routines consist of stunting, tumbling, dance, jumps, and pyramid. While our performance team is mostly dance based. Whether you are highly experienced in these skills, or new to cheerleading, we would love for you to get involved, so please come along to our give it a go sessions throughout September!

COMPETITION: Thursdays 7:45-10pm and Sundays 3:30-6:30pm @ Majestic Gymnastics, BS30 8XQ

We, alongside Sharkies, host a weekly club social at Pam Pams nightclub on Wednesdays, with bi-weekly fancy dress! Plus we do non-drinking socials, such as Airhop, Ice skating, movie nights, and team meals. We're always looking for new things to do as a team!
