UWE Equestrian is a mixed social club catering for people of all abilities from complete beginners who have never sat on a horse before to those who compete on a regular basis. The location for fortnightly lessons in the 2024/25 academic year are as follows; BUCS will be held at Tumpy green Equestrian, friendlies will be held at Tumpy green Equestrian and recriational at Talland. Our new training facility for the academic year will will provide us with high quality lessons and competitions that are great value for money.

BUCS provides the opportunity for those who are more advanced to compete for the University. If you are able to ride a novice dressage test, jump upto 2'9 (85cm) and get on and ride a variety of horses then why not give the trials a go? UWE Equestrian has 2 BUCS teams who train every other week - commitment to the training sessions is required! If you have got the effort and dedication required then why not sign up! Information about sign-ups and trials will be released on our Facebook page nearer the time.

For those who are unsure about the seriousness of BUCS, the commitment involved or never had the opportunity to compete why not try for our Friendly team? This is exactly the same set up as BUCS but not (quite) as competitive and has a more 'fun' feel! It will provide you with the opportunity to experience a competition and meet other people who are just as horse mad as you! 

We also hold a range of socials which include regular nights out (most commonly UWE sports nights at PAMS on a Wednesday), meals, day time activities and much more! We like to do our bit for charity too, we cant wait for the 2024/2025 season !
