ELECTIONS INFORMATION SESSION

Thinking of running in the elections? Have some key questions you want answered before submitting your nomination? Not sure what a manifesto is and want some ideas on what you can include? Come along and hear more about the elections and what you need to do to be a candidate!

 

FULL TIME OFFICER CANDIDATE ELIGIBILITY, HR AND IMMIGRATION INFO SESSION

THURSDAY 6 February 2025, 13:00 - 14:00 IN MEETING ROOM 1 (The Students' Union on Frenchay Campus U BLOCK) or online here.

If you are interested in running in the Elections as a full time President or Vice-President and have questions about what that means for your employment then this session is a must attend! Hear from The Students' Union at UWE HR team about your employment terms and benefits as well as from UWE Bristol's Immigration Case team who will be able to answer any questions you have on immigration status and visa support.

 

MANDATORY CANDIDATE BRIEFING

All confirmed candidates must attend Candidate Briefing, either in person or online. This will provide key information on the elections including key dates, deadlines and rules so is vital you attend.

 

STRATEGIC STORYTELLING: ENRICHING ENGAGMENT WITH YOUR ELECTORATE

As part of the Candidate Workshop series, join Steve Creffield, Evolve Integral Ltd, who has worked with leaders, politicians and activist at multiple levels and around the world to learn how best to speak to students about your campaigns with some top tips on engagement and how to use your networks to support your causes. This is a must attend workshop to learn how best to speak to a wide range of students and develop your negotiating and influencing skills!

 

EFFECTIVE CAMPAIGNING WORKSHOP

As part of the Candidate Workshop series, join the Students' Union Community team to learn about effective campaigning, including how you can make your campaign as sustainable as possible! This is a must attend workshop to think about how you can stand out from the crowd as well as learning more about effective campaigning on a budget!

 

WELLBEING & TOP TIPS WORKSHOP

As part of the Candidate Workshop series, join the Students' Union Community Welfare and HR team to learn about how to keep yourself well during campaigning and voting, as well as top tips for making the most out developing new skills for future employment opportunities. This is a must attend workshop to ensure the election process is a positive experience whatever the outcome is!
