Thinking of running in the elections? Have some key questions you want answered before submitting your nomination? Not sure what a manifesto is and want some ideas on what you can include? Come along and hear more about the elections and what you need to do to be a candidate!

 

MANDATORY CANDIDATE BRIEFING

Thursday 13 February 2025, 17:00 - 19:30 in Meeting Room 1 (The Students' Union on Frenchay Campus) or online here.

All confirmed candidates must attend Candidate Briefing, either in person or online. This will provide key information on the elections including key dates, deadlines and rules so is vital you attend.

 

STUDENT ENGAGEMENT & CONFIDENT NETWORKING WORKSHOP

As part of the Candidate Workshop series, join the Learning and Development team to learn how best to speak to students about your campaigns with some top tips on engagement and how to use your networks to support your causes. This is a must attend workshop to learn how best to speak to a wide range of students and develop your negotiating and influencing skills!

 

EFFECTIVE CAMPAIGNING WORKSHOP

As part of the Candidate Workshop series, join the Students' Union Community team to learn about effective campaigning, including how you can make your campaign as sustainable as possible! This is a must attend workshop to think about how you can stand out from the crowd as well as learning more about effective campaigning on a budget!

 

WELLBEING & TOP TIPS WORKSHOP

As part of the Candidate Workshop series, join the Students' Union Community Welfare and HR team to learn about how to keep yourself well during campaigning and voting, as well as top tips for making the most out developing new skills for future employment opportunities. This is a must attend workshop to ensure the election process is a positive experience whatever the outcome is!
