Dear Fellow Students,

UWE is a vibrant and diverse community, and the Student Union plays a crucial role in shaping our university experience. I am running for President of the UWE Student Union to enhance student support, expand opportunities, and ensure that every voice is heard. With extensive experience in teaching, student recruitment, admissions, and career development, I have helped many students navigate higher education and achieve their goals. Now, I want to bring that expertise to UWE.

My Vision for UWE

I will work to expand student discounts by collaborating with local businesses, ensuring students have access to affordable dining, shopping, and entertainment options. I will advocate for more IT and AI training library workshops to equip students with essential digital skills that enhance employability.

Strong representation at the National Union of Students (NUS) is vital, and I will actively lobby for policies that support student welfare, tuition affordability, and career development. Additionally, I will lobby for establishing a dedicated support desk for international students to assist with academic matters, visas, and cultural integration.

To foster stronger connections between students and the Student Union, I will work to dedicate a whole week to increase local students registeration and engagment with student union, creating more opportunities for students to participate in events, services, and networking. Financial pressures remain a concern for many, and I will campaign for extended tuition fee installment options to provide greater flexibility and ease financial burdens.

Finally, I will strengthen industry connections by expanding career fairs, employer partnerships, and networking events, ensuring that students get access to more employers.

With years of experience in teaching, education consultancy, admissions, and student support, I understand the challenges students face and how to create meaningful opportunities. I am committed to making UWE an even better place to study, grow, and succeed.
