A Voice for Every Student

Why I’m Running

University is more than just lectures and assignments—it’s about feeling heard, valued, and supported. If elected as your Student Union President, I will dedicate myself to making UWE a place where everyone—regardless of background, nationality, or neurodiversity—feels empowered to thrive. My mission is to break barriers, build connections, and create opportunities for all students.

My Vision for UWE

1. A Safe and Inclusive Space for Every Student

  • Ensure every student, no matter their background, is heard and valued.
  • Strengthen student representation and feedback systems to make real changes based on your voices.
  • Advocate for stronger policies on equality, diversity, and inclusion.

2. Widening Participation and Representation

  • Support global majority students in making their mark at UWE.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership programs to help students from underrepresented backgrounds succeed.
  • Work closely with faculties to remove barriers to education and career progression.

3. A Thriving International and Diverse Community

  • Enhance support systems for international students to ease their transition and overcome challenges.
  • Organize cultural events and initiatives to celebrate the richness of our diverse student body.
  • Strengthen networks for students to connect across cultures, building a truly inclusive UWE.

4. Sports, Fitness & Well-being for All

  • Expand MOVE sessions to make fitness more accessible and engaging for all students.
  • Promote health and wellness initiatives, ensuring students have the support to stay active and healthy.
  • Promoting Sports, Games & Student Experience
    • Increase awareness and attendance at university sports events.
    • Improve the atmosphere at games—better marketing, student engagement, and incentives.
    • Organize tournaments and casual game nights for all students, not just sports teams.

5. Mental Health & Well-being: Prioritizing Student Support

  • Introduce De-Stress Months with free well-being activities during exam seasons.
  • Expand access to mental health services, ensuring faster response times and increased support.
  • Provide health incentives to encourage positive mental health practices.

6. Supporting Neurodiverse Students

  • Create a more inclusive learning environment with better support for neurodiverse students.
  • Work with faculty to ensure neurodiverse-friendly teaching methods and accommodations.
  • Build awareness campaigns to educate and foster understanding among students and staff.

7. Creating a Safer Campus at Night

  • Keep key student spaces like Night Café open in the evenings.
  • Implement better security measures to ensure safety.
