Meeting Room 1 The Students' Union Frenchay Campus
The Students' Union at UWE is hosting an Inter-Faith Day to bring students from religious and non-religious backgrounds together, reduce any pre-existing stigma and increase understanding between our religious and spiritually diverse student community. As part of this celebration, we are holding an Inter-Faith Café on 22nd March from 6.30 - 7.30 pm in Meeting Room 1, Union 1, Students' Union at UWE (Frenchay). This will be a safe space for students and staff to talk freely and respectfully initiate conversations about their own faith or other faiths that they would like to learn more about. This is also a unique opportunity to bring together our five faith societies and the wider UWE Bristol community to celebrate Inter-Faith Day. We believe that religious and spiritual communities play a crucial role in educating for sustainable development. In fact, some faith communities have been educating for sustainable living for many years before the term sustainable development and the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals were invented in our modern era. Thus, this event will also include a panel discussion, chaired by Rania Regaieg, Vice President Community & Welfare, on the interrelation between Faith and Sustainability, hear your reflections on COP26 and how you see your faith contributing to the transition to a sustainable and equitable world for all.
