Community Corner, Bower Ashton (opposite the main info point)
For LGBT+ History Month we have a super exciting pop up coming to Bower.
Do you feel apprehensive going to a salon/barbers?
Do you feel uncomfortable going somewhere that only cuts ‘womans’ hair or ‘gents’ hair?
Have you asked for a certain cut - but had it cut to what they think your genders hair 'should' be rather than what you asked for?
Well come to our Genderfree pop up where you can get a free hair cut (If you can - donate to a LGBTQ+ Charity in exchange for the cut)
We have asked Jess, the CEO and Founder of dooo – A Bristol Genderfree, all inclusive salon, to come in to cut your hair!
Jess is an Award winning barber/hairdresser with 8 years of industry experience across the UK and internationally, who specialises in Skin Fades and Creative Cuts. Working with neurodivergent clients is also important to Jess, who takes pride in working with minorities who may not feel safe in hair salon environments.
So come along to Community Corner - Bower, this is walk in on the day appointments, so come early to avoid disappointment (limited spaces)!
