This Trans Awareness week Adelaide the LGBTQ+ Officer for the Students Union is launching the new Gender Expression Fund for Trans and Non-Binary students at UWE:
Are you a Trans Person in need of a new binder, Do you want to experiment with make up or have a haircut?
Is there something that you have wanted to buy that would help you embrace your true identity?
But you’ve not been able to justify the costs?
Almost 900 students across UWE identify as Trans or Non Binary which is why it’s so important to have a fund like this.
Socially Transitioning is already quite expensive which is why the Students Union is launching the fund to help absorb some of those costs for you.
You can apply to up to £50 to buy what you need to feel more confident and comfortable in yourself.
To apply for the fund please fill in this form:

The Community Projects Coordinator (Bower and Liberations) Jane will deal with the finance side asking for receipts or ordering your items.
Then J, Adelaide or Jane will be in touch to organise collection depending on what campus you would like it to get to.
