Thu 12 December 2024 13:00-14:00
Meeting Room 1, The Students' Union, Frenchay Campus
WHEN:
Thursday 12th December
13:00pm – 14:00pm
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Climate Chats and Cake is a monthly session for UWE students to come together, meet like-minded students and hear inspiring stories.
Sessions will involve guided discussion and opportunities to share thoughts and feelings and hear from experts and guests.
This month, we'll hear from Ursula Billington, Bristol 24/7’s new climate and sustainability editor. Bristol 24/7 is an independent media outlet and community interest company.
Entertaining, accessible, and locally engaged, this online and paper publication is in the perfect position to draw attention to climate action and the steps being taken to tackle social injustice.
Learn about Ursula's work and details of local stories and projects, and collect your free paper copy of their magazine—it's the place to go for news, event listings and student events!
After hearing from Ursula, we'll get crafty, make Christmas decorations, and put on Christmas tunes.
All students are welcome!
There will be free vegan food and refreshments.
