Sat 25 January 2025 17:00-19:00
Meeting Room 1, The Students' Union, Frenchay Campus
WHEN:
Monday 27th January 5 – 7pm
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Come along to our collaborative event with Reel Nature? Environmental Film Club & MAKERS Project
Join us to watch a documentary that unravels how the vicious cycle of consumerism is powered by companies that encourage our shopping addictions. And question the wider environmental impact of our shopping habits.
How have the Apples, Amazons and Adiddas’ of the world used clever marketing to keep us buying more? And where do all the products we no longer want go?
Come on Monday 27th January from 5-7pm to watch “Buy Now!” and join in a group discussion afterwards.
Together we will question the documentary’s messages and storytelling tools, and ask ourselves what are the alternatives and what will we do next?
Bring your friends! All are welcome!
