WHEN:
Monday 24th March 5:30 – 7:30pm
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Join the filmmakers for our documentary screening of “Fighting For The Underdog”, presented by the filmmakers and One KAI, a marine and sociological catalyst that seeks to bring together all factions of the marine world.
Who is the spiny dogfish that lives off our British shores? And who are the real people who work in the fisheries that catch them?
Once overfished, the spurdog is a beautiful species of British shark that many who live on the coasts may never have seen. But the stories told about the local fisheries, are often clouded in controversy. They don’t reveal the real people, struggles and the richness of their experiences.
Follow the filmmakers’ journey as they collect the personal tales of the people who know these coastlines best, opening conversations with stakeholders and uncovering the truth about the spurdog in the world of fisheries.
On Monday 24th March come along from 5:30-7:30pm to watch “Fighting For the Underdog”, talk with the filmmakers and take part in our discussions afterwards.
