A celebration proudly brought to you by UWE Malaysian Students' Association (UWEMSA) with support from The Students' Union at UWE. Diwali (Hindi: ??????) , also known as Deepavali (Tamil: ???????), is a celebration of the triumph of Light against Dark (also known as Good against Evil). It is a week-long festivity recognised by the Hindus, Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists. Traditionally, it is celebrated with offerings, singing and dancing in praises of the Gods. Every Year, MSA strives to make this event greater and more extravagent! And this year is no exception! Not only will we be providing authentic Indian (halal ?????) food, we also have cultural performances in the form of singing and dancing! Attendees are encouraged to come in their traditional outfits as awards for the best traditional dress will be given for the night. To spice things up a little, drag along your non-Malaysian friends along so they could experience what its like celebrating in Malaysia as it differs from country to country. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *GET YOUR TICKETS NOW!* Early bird ticket price: £8 Facebook event HERE On-the-door ticket price: £11
