Benji Wright
Committee Role: Campaign Officer
Hi, my name is Benji, and I’m a forensic science student with a strong passion for supporting mental health and wellbeing. This has always been an important part of my life, and back in secondary school, I served as Deputy Head Prefect for Pastoral Care. Later, in sixth form, I became Head Boy for Mental Health and Wellbeing, focusing on creating a supportive environment for students and staff.
Outside the committee, I’m passionate about DJing and travelling. Music and exploring new places are my ways to relax and recharge. Whether I’m spinning tracks or discovering a new city, these experiences help me stay balanced.
Rali Fileva
Committee Role: Campaign Officer
Hi, I’m Rali, originally from Bulgaria but living in Bristol since 2020. Being part of the Student Life Team at UWE has helped me discover my passion for creating events that bring people together and make a positive impact on our university community. I love knowing that I’m helping shape good memories that students will carry long after their university years.
This year, I’ve had the chance to work as both a Welcome/LNDIR Rep and a Student Life Assistant, roles that have deepened my love for event planning and creating experiences that connect people. One of the highlights of my role is connecting with students, and I find it so rewarding to be able to support others with challenges they might face at UWE.
Recently, I’ve embraced my inner homebody and have been enjoying cosy nights watching the show Heartstopper or hosting small gatherings with friends. I’m also an active participant in the MOVE Programme and enjoy trying out new activities whenever I get the chance.
I’m someone who speaks up for what’s right, and I’m excited to continue creating a welcoming and inclusive environment through my work and as part of the Welfare Committee.
