Trips and Transport Assistant

The Opportunities Department have an exciting opening for a UWE Bristol Student to support with the day to day administration of trips and transport for our Sports Clubs and Societies. This will include, but is not limited to administratively supporting the Opportunities Department trip and transport booking procedure, such as booking transport and accommodation, setting up tickets and liaising with students regarding their trips and events.

This position will start in September 2025 and will work to support the team throughout the 2025/26 academic year!

Other duties within this role may include:

• To act as a point of contact in the Opportunities Team, including meeting & greeting customers and signposting.
• Responding to emails sent to the main generic account.
• To administratively operate the membership database ticket and reporting system where applicable (MSL).
• To provide administrative support across various areas of work within the Opportunities Department.
• Moving & storing of equipment and cleaning where required.
• To provide administrative support to the Opportunities Team.
• Assist and support SU events and engagement activity

Experience/Skills:

• Previous customer service experience would be great!
• Experience of managing own workload and multi-tasking
• IT skills & good understanding of Microsoft Office, Excel & Outlook
• Confident telephone manner
• Good communicator to a wide range of persons
• Trustworthy/honest
• Friendly/helpful manner
• Reliable & punctual
• Excellent timekeeper
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
• Ability to complete manual handling tasks

Additional Information

Rate of Pay:

£12.60 per hour

*Please note this hourly rate will be inflated to include holiday pay

Hours per Week:

Casual Staff – 15-20 hours per week term time only (Term 1 and 2).

Based at Frenchay Campus.
