What does a Student Ambassador do?

As an Ambassador, you would primarily support student recruitment and outreach activities, as well as getting involved with wider university events including:

• Open and Offer Holder Days
• course taster days and selection events
• welcome and course inductions
• photography and filming
• presentations and interactive workshops
• school and college visits
• Campus tours
• UCAS and Higher Education (HE) recruitment fairs across the South West and the UK.

• About the role

• Student Ambassadors are current UWE students who are employed as casual workers to represent the University.

  Student Ambassadors act as positive role models to give a first-hand view of the benefits of higher education and to represent UWE Bristol at a variety of different events and locations (on campus, virtual platforms and in schools/colleges/community settings) in support of UWE’s marketing and recruitment & outreach strategies.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for students who are enthusiastic about representing their course and University. The role involves a high level of customer service – no prior work experience is necessary, but you must be keen to work with a sales and customer service focus.

You must be committed to the shifts you accept and a reliable worker. 

Hours

Work undertaken by Student Ambassadors is flexible and fits around your studies. Student Ambassadors are casual workers, and as a casual worker, there is no set or guaranteed number of working hours.

The Student Ambassador Scheme is not obliged to offer you any work, nor are you obliged to accept any

Hourly Rate

£12.00 per hour plus 12.07% holiday pay
