We are currently recruiting for a full time Societies Development Coordinator. We are looking for a proactive, engaging and approachable individual with a strong administrative skill set and the ability to deliver high quality in-person training. Our Opportunities Team support students with all of the sports clubs and societies available to UWE Bristol Students during their time at university.
We have 108 societies for students to join and 46 sports clubs for students to engage with during their time at UWE Bristol.
We have two Societies positions within the Opportunities Team:
Societies Development Coordinator
Societies Administrator
Both positions report to, and are supported by, the Opportunities Manager.
We are currently recruiting for the Societies Development Coordinator.
The Societies development coordinator will be responsible for developing the societies offering and processes and the development and delivery of high-quality committee training for all societies. This would include the analysis of membership numbers against previous years, engagement levels and analysing why changes have occurred, producing graphs, charts and comparison reports and developing initiatives to improve engagement.
This position will also support the VP Societies and Communication with their manifesto, societies conferences and support them alongside a project working group to organise the annual Societies awards.
Day to day this position will support with lots of general administration and engagement duties in addition to the developmental aspects of the role above.
Annually, the Societies Development Coordinator will support and engage with organisational wide initiatives including: Elections, Welcome and Freshers/ Welcome Fairs, Speak Week, Sports Awards, Societies Awards and other key organisational projects.

Additional Information
Grade: 3.1
Salary: £23,082
Duration of Role: FIXED TERM 22 MONTH CONTRACT
Hours per Week: 37 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7, Monday-Friday
*Please note that in line with the working time directive, no current student applications will be accepted for this position due to it being a full time, 37 hour per week position.
* Given the nature of the post, weekend and evening working will be required with notice to achieve the desired outcomes at key times of the year, this can be outlined during interview.
Holiday: 27 Days + Closure Days + Bank Holidays ‘pro rata’
Location: Based at Frenchay Campus- Bristol
*The postholder may be required to work at, or from any of the Union’s establishments (Bower Ashton Campus, Glenside Campus etc)
