As we all start planning for a new Academic year, we look back at what we got up to in Bower last term.
We started off the year by launching Community Corner, our very own sustainability space, including a clothes, book and art supply swap, community larder, free tea, coffee, period products and condoms, since opening in January in it's first 4 months it gave out the minimum of:
234 items of clothing,
288 condoms,
980 cups of tea,
500 cups of coffee (on drinks alone that is a saving to students of £2864)
In February we held an inclusive Hair and nail salon in there for LGBTQ+ History Month.
As part of Cost of Living Support we gave away:
100 free hot meals + 30 free sandwiches each week,
1000's of free food and household items from the Community Larder.
We put on activities every week including:
Pottery painting,
Meet the dogs,
Live music
Pizza making,
Clay and Play,
Jewellery making
Easter egg decoration,
Womens History Month Crafternoon making Vulva cupcakes and boob embroidery,
Pride Patches and badge making,

We held several Support Pop ups including:
