If you’re having a big clear out before you move accommodation in the summer, this is the perfect opportunity to make sure your unwanted items go towards a good cause!
The Bristol Big Give campaign is run every year by the Bristol Student Community Partnership, which is a collaboration between UWE Bristol and the Univeristy of Bristol. As a part of the campaign we’ll take your donations of unwanted items and distribute them to the British Heart Foundation, as well as other local charities.
Not only does this mean we keep your preloved items out of landfills, they’ll also go towards raising money for great causes too! In previous years, students in the UK have prevented the equivalent weight of 142 double decker buses from landfill! Not only this, but the campaign aims to raise general awareness of the importance of recycling and waste management.
All sorts of items can be donated, such as…
Just remember to make sure your donations are clean, as we can’t accept any dirty items. We also won’t be able to accept duvets, pillows, knives or hangers.
We have a number of donation bins on campus which you can just drop your donations into.
