On Saturday 13 July we glittered up, got our Pride on and celebrated our LGBT+ community! We are delighted to share some of our highlights from Pride 2019.

UWE LGBT+ Pre-Parade Meet Up and the March

Love hearts, glitter, face paint, t-shirt decorating, bubbles, and photography all featured at the pre-parade meetup, which was organised by the amazing UWE LGBT+ Society.

Working with staff and student volunteers, the LGBT+ Society made sure that everyone felt welcome to join the UWE Bristol group. As a group, we marched through Broadmead and the city centre, sharing the love and handing out sweets!

Celebrating its tenth anniversary, the UWE LGBT+ joined organisations across the city to thank Bristol Pride for ten wonderful years! Check out the video here.

UWE Bristol at the Downs

This year we trekked up Park Street to enjoy the Pride Festival taking place on Clifton Downs. We saw an amazing line up of acts across three stages including the all-new circus stage, Boney M, Mel C and the amazing Peppermint.

We also loved meeting you all at the UWE Bristol tent, where we handed out sweets and making a tonne of funky badges. Look out for us next year – we can’t wait!
