How have we already finished the Spring term? Let’s reflect on what we have been up to over the past few months.
We kicked off the year with a Clay & Play session facilitated by Pot Heads, where we saw 32 students make a clay creation! Alongside the pottery we had the NHS Blood Drive, Changes charity and UWE Student experience coaches.
In February we celebrated LGBT+ History month with a successful Gender Free Hair Salon, Nail Art and Pride Patches Embroidery. Thank you to all the students who came along and it is great to still see those snazzy nails around campus.
We also gave out 100 delicious Pancakes for Pancake Day and enjoyed a range of toppings.
In March The Green Team visited and we did bulb planting and painted plant pots. For Women’s History month we had a lovely afternoon tea, where we made vulva cakes, boob embroidery and enjoyed some scones over friendly conversations.
We also had our student elections, congratulations to all our Presidents and especially Mercy who is the new Glenside Campus Officer!
We have continued to rework the space, with the new pin boards going up, adding some colour to the space, and giving us more room for posters. To celebrate LGBT+ History month we have posters, flags and bunting up across the Students’ Union too.
Coming up we will be celebrating International Day of the Midwife and International Nurses Day with more free haircuts, mouth watering pizzas and colourful tote bags!
