Did you know UWE Bristol’s new student accommodation is being built to passivhaus standards, which reduces the ecological footprint and conserves energy through its sustainable design?
Join us at this talk to find out more on Tuesday 1 November from 9:00-11:00.
Hear from UWE's Climate Action Manager about top tips to reduce energy bills, an update on what UWE are doing to become carbon neutral, information about COP27, ideas for student projects and live briefs and more!
Just Stop Oil are working towards stopping all new oil and gas projects. Hear more about what they've been up to and meet other students interested in climate action: Thursday 3 November 18:00 at The Students' Union. Fossil fuels are killing us, together we can demand better!
Everyone's welcome to this talk about sustainable period products, where you can also sign up for a free menstrual cup, reusable applicator or reusable period pants (our personal favourite - honestly they are a game changer). AND there will be free food!
We are also running our usual weekly free sustainable period product stalls where you can come and get all kinds of different items for free.
Glenside: every Tuesday 12:00-14:00
Frenchay and Bower: every Friday 12:00-14:00
All stall times and locations are listed on our events webpage here.
We are really excited to have a special edition of our usual Community Garden session where we will be installing a WildPod in the Frenchay Community garden on Wednesday 9 November.
If you love getting out in nature, we’d really recommend signing up for our next conservation volunteering day here as part of our Greenspace programme.
