Late Night Do It Right (LNDIR), supports students in practicing and encouraging a safe night out culture during the welcome period.
Late Night Do It Right promotes UWE’s harm reduction approach to drug and alcohol use. We aim to inform students about how to practice a safe night-out culture!
Late Night Do It Right changed this year. Instead of attending club nights until the early hours, we visited UWE students' accommodation in Bristol city centre, specifically Blenheim Court, Nelson and Drake House, and Marketgate.
How did it work?
Late Night Do It Right 2024 handed out 800 slices of pizza, 1,000 condoms, 82 spikeys, and 272 alcohol volume cups, along with a range of leaflets, including a QR code linking to UWE Bristol’s Drugs and Alcohol Service.
Students refer to Late Night Do It Right as "heaven," a "saviour," and something "really useful." It’s a sign that you should learn more about harm reduction, whether for yourself, a family member, or even a friend. Everyone benefits from being educated on safe night-out practices — you never know, you might save a life.
