Just because an item of clothing has some wear and tear, or doesn’t fit anymore, doesn’t necessarily mean you need to throw it away! When it comes to mending clothes, there are several options available. One approach is to take the item to a skilled tailor for professional repair or alteration. Alternatively, you can explore DIY visible mending techniques, which allow you to creatively mend your garments at home.
Another great option is to visit a UWE Repair Café, where you can bring your clothes in need of mending. Here, you have the opportunity to either learn how to fix it yourself with guidance from volunteers or have it repaired by a skilled volunteer.
