Did you know that around 80% of students in the UK want their university to be doing more on sustainability? This year a fantastic 413 UWE students took part in the NUS Sustainability Skills Survey to let us know your sustainability priorities, attitudes, and interests. We’re now gearing up to take your responses on board and create positive change at UWE. So, what do UWE students think about sustainability? Here are some of the highlights from the survey:

• 83% of you would take a £1000 lower salary in an organisation with a good environmental and social record
• 92% of students believe sustainability is something universities should actively promote and incorporate
• 71% of students agree UWE takes action to limit the effect it has on the environment
• Over half of you (66%) want to learn more about sustainable development, in particular, to learn more through the formal curriculum and through informal education
• 60% of you would take a salary £3000 less than average if the role contributes positively to environmental and social change
• Learning about sustainability, equality, and ethics has had a positive impact on most of you, with 77% saying they were more educated and aware as a result
