Share Bristol is making it easy to borrow the things we need to live our lives.
Following the success of our recent Crowdfunder, Share Bristol is really excited to be working in partnership with UWE Bristol to open a third Library of Things on Frenchay Campus. Members of Share Bristol will be able to borrow items instead of buying them, saving them money, space in their homes and helping the planet too. Keep an eye out in the next few weeks for when we’ll be opening!
The new Library of Things will be right next to the UWE Bristol main bus terminal. Limited car parking is available for picking up larger items, and you can contact the Frenchay Library Manager to arrange this.
The Library will be open two or three times a week with morning, afternoon and evening lending sessions available to make borrowing accessible for everyone. To start with, we will be trialling Monday 6 – 8pm and Wednesday 3 – 5pm and adding a morning session once we’re more settled.
Most of our Things available for borrowing are generous donations from our members and the Bristol community. If you would like to donate something to the Library, look out for announcements of an upcoming donation drive.
You can also get involved in the running of the Library by becoming a volunteer. We are currently looking for Librarians of Things and Thing Technicians to help run the Library and look after our Things, to find out more have a look at our volunteer vacancies on the UWE CareerHub portal.
