Certain sports here at The Students’ Union are in danger of folding due to committee roles not being filled.
Committee members are required to keep our sports clubs running
COVID-19 has undeniably affected many different aspects of life over the past 18 months, university sport is one of those. Ever-changing restrictions meant that many sports clubs at UWE Bristol could unfortunately not run to their full potential. This has led to certain sports here at The Students’ Union having many different opportunities to get involved in. For a sport to run at UWE Bristol, five committee roles have to be filled by five different sports members, this is where we need you to step up and fill these vacant roles.
Our sports teams here at UWE Bristol make up an important part of our history and there is an opportunity for you to get involved with one of our many sports clubs. We also have sports for every level, whether you're a beginner wanting to try out something new or a pro.
For most, sport at university can be an incredibly fulfilling experience. The benefit of having committee experience on your CV is a massive asset. Not only can you boast about leadership experience in interviews but representing your sport through a committee role also goes onto your certificate of Higher Education.
