As the new term starts, we are extremely excited to welcome students and staff back onto our sites. We hope you had a fantastic Christmas and wish you a very happy new year!
In response to the latest Government guidance for universities, The Students’ Union is following the University’s decision to make face coverings mandatory inside all of our campus buildings unless you are exempt.
We understand that this new guidance may cause anxiety, which might already be amplified by the winter months. However, we feel that these temporary measures are necessary to reduce the risk of transmission and keep our students and staff safe in this ever-changing situation.

We know that wearing a mask can make some feel a bit nervous and uneasy, so here are some useful tips for coping with face coverings.
If lipreading is beneficial to you (in case of hearing impairment, if English isn’t your mother tongue or any other reasons), please get in touch with our reception team who can create a custom-made badge so people can adapt to your needs.
It’s okay not to be okay this time of the year and there are also plenty of useful wellbeing and support services available to all UWE Bristol students.
