In light of recent reports, The Students’ Union at UWE is reconfirming that we have an absolute zero-tolerance to any form of racism and bullying. As a Union, we are committed to fighting racism, discrimination and prejudice in any form and we will work with UWE Bristol to ensure behaviour of this kind is condemned.

We would encourage anyone who has been a victim of this behaviour or witnessed it to speak up and report it here. We are proud of our diverse student community and will keep working to ensure that UWE Bristol is an inclusive environment for every student.

The Students’ Union, President, Precious Onyenekwu Tatah: “As a truly inclusive environment, all students at UWE Bristol must display mutual respect for each other. The use of discriminatory language and bullying is inappropriate and should never be used. This is a time to come together because we are stronger united than divided.”
