Bristol certainly isn’t short of pubs, wherever you’re living you’re bound to have a pretty good local. You’ll find The Cider Press on Gloucester Road among lots of other great food and drink establishments. They boast an incredible 32 draft ciders, as well as a selection of craft beers and cask ales. Even better, you can sign up to receive special student offers on food and drink.
If you’re a sports fan you’re in luck, The Cider Press has eight screens and two HD projectors so you’ll never miss a major sporting event again!

If you’re a heavy metal fan who’s serious about good beer The Gryphon is the place for you. They’ve been featured in CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide for an impressive eleven years in a row. With a constant rotation of cask and keg guest ales, which are generally dark and strong, there’s always something new to try.

The Mothers’ Ruin is a dive bar with quirky décor offering a place for alternative nights out in Bristol, featuring live music including 80s, new wave, indie and rock ‘n’ roll nights. They often have some great drinks deals and are super student-friendly!
Stop by on a Tuesday night for their weekly pub quiz, which comes with free food at half time.

Located in the heart of Bristol, The Apple is a cider bar on a boat. Moored at the end of King Street, the Apple serves a huge range of farmhouse ciders ranging from dry to sweet, as well as some exciting fruit cider options, how good does a strawberry daiquiri cider sound!? If the sun’s shining, it’s a great spot to sit outside by the water.
