UWE Bristol staff and students can now book an eye test and try contact lenses without any charge at the UWE Bristol Eye Clinic from October and receive a 20% discount on a pair of glasses* and contact lenses.

The clinic, based on Glenside campus in the Blackberry Centre, provides appointments in our state-of-the-art treatment rooms with final-year optometry students, who work under the direct supervision of a qualified, experienced and practising optometrist.

Not only can you benefit from a sight test or contact lens assessment without charge, plus a 20% discount on all contact lenses and most spectacles (including the designer frames), you will also be providing the final year students on UWE Bristol's BSc Optometry programme with the practical skills they need to meet the General Optical Council standards for pre-registration.

The clinic is a fully functioning on-site optometry clinic providing students on the BSc Optometry programme with real-world experience. From 4^th October the clinic will provide sight tests, contact lens assessments and prescription eyewear, from budget to designer branded frames and sunglasses to students, staff and the public.

Please allow 90-120 minutes for a sight test and 60-90 minutes for a contact lens appointment.
