The Students’ Union at UWE would like to update all our members and partners about a change in the role of VP Education for 2024/25.

Sabiha Khan will not be continuing into her second year in the role. Given the vacancy, the Returning Officer recommended to the Board of Trustees that the March elections have votes redistributed and rerun with the remaining candidates, which has been accepted.

We are very pleased to announce that after three rounds of voting, Khadiza Hossain has been elected as VP Education for 2024/25. She will commence her handover with the other 2024/25 elected officer team on Monday 24 June, and will officially assume her post on Monday 1 July.

We are excited to have her join the team and look forward to what the full team can deliver for our members.
