VP Societies and Communications Term 2 Update:
🎊 Refreshers' Fair: A Huge Success!
Our January Refreshers' Fair welcomed new and returning students, with over 20 societies showcasing their activities. The event was a fantastic opportunity for students to explore different societies, make new friends, and find their community within UWE.
🔥 Society Engagement Highlights: ✅ UWE societies have grown to 6,711 active memberships (a 1.5% increase from last year!). ✅ 49 new society applications submitted since the start of the academic year. ✅ New societies! 🎉

With the cost of living rising, we introduced 10% off at the SU Bar for society members every Wednesday! Whether you're a committee member or a general member, enjoy this perk just for being part of a society.
🏆 Societies Award Money!
This year, we’re giving cash prizes to winning societies at the Society Awards Night. Not only will we crown the Society of the Year, but an additional monetary award will also be announced!
💡 Student Experience Fund Success!
Several societies have successfully applied for and received funding through the Student Experience Fund, helping them bring bigger and better events to campus.
