We know that some of the UWE Bristol student community are not happy with the current university experience. We understand that it is a challenging time for the student community and we want to ensure that your voice is being heard.
Your Presidents Team has been in discussions with the University around tuition fees reduction and although this is not a route they are exploring due to many reasons including the financial impact of Covid and the added financial cost needed to provide a blended teaching and learning approach, they are looking for students to let them know if there are specific areas that they would like UWE Bristol and the Union to address. We are also supporting the NUS Students Deserve Better Campaign, which is lobbying the Government and universities to ensure that students rights are upheld.
If there is a particular aspect of your experience that is currently concerning you please let us know. We have been feeding back student concerns to the University and have been lobbying them on issues that have been flagged by students. This includes extending library hours, the no detriment policy, uncapped resits and more. If you would like to speak further with our Presidents Team, they would be happy to have a chat with you and see what we can do to support. www.thestudentsunion.co.uk/presidents
