*TRIGGER WARNING: Sexual violence
We are proud to be working with city-wide partners in the ‘We Are Here’ Sexual Violence Support Campaign, to raise awareness among university students in Bristol about free professional support available for survivors of rape and sexual assault. Together we want students to know that we’re here to believe and support you, whether you report to the police or not. There are specialist services ready to listen, support, and help you take the next steps in a way that works for you.
Some of the key partners we are working with in this campaign include Sarsas, Safelink, The Bridge, Police and Crime Commissioners, Bristol City Council, NHSE, UWE Bristol, University of Bristol and Bristol SU.
The campaign aims to raise awareness among univeristy students in Bristol about free, professional support available for survivors of rape and sexual assualt. We want survivors to know that if they reach our for support that they will be believed, supported and given choices about what to do next. It can be overwhelming knowing what to do or who to go to and we want to make sure students have all the information and resources they need to make the right decision for them as an individual.
The Students' Union and UWE's Anti-Sexual Violence Service willl= be running stalls and activity across the campus sites to raise awareness and facilitate discussions regarding sexual violence and relationship abuse as well as discussing the 'We Are Here' campaign and signposting students to support services and resurces.
We'll have myth busting games, healthy relationship bingo, freebies and support information available.
